Verse 1:
So many questions, the world is reaching
So many hurting, so many lost
With all this striving, who can we lean on
Creation's crying out from the dark
Chorus 1:
I know the answer to every question
The one solution to every fear
I know my help and where it comes from
Jesus, He is the answer
Verse 2:
He sees our sadness, He feels our sorrow
And in our weakness, He is strong
He holds the weight of all of our failings
Great is our sin, but greater the cross
Bridge:
For every heart that's breaking, for every soul that's shaking
For every sickness - there's healing in Your hands
Let every heart awaken to see it's You who saves us
You are my hope and the rock on which I stand
Chorus 2:
You are the answer to every question
The one solution to every fear
You are my help and where it comes from
Jesus, You are the answer
Jesus, You are the answer
The answer? The answer? I think this is what everyone is looking for right now. As the song says, the world is definitely reaching out, and with so many questions. There's people hurting like they've never hurt before There's more people right now than every before that feel they are lost.
People are 'striving,' struggling in opposition to everything that is happening. They are searching for something or someone they can lean on. Something or someone who will help hold them up, give them strength, give them support. Everyone is crying out from the darkness that has surrounded them. As Romans 8:22 states, "The whole creation has been groaning as in the pain of childbirth right up to the present time." We know that childbirth pains start out very light, but intensify as the time of birth gets closer. We now find ourselves in the midst of worsening birth pains. The pains of creation to rid itself of the sin caused by the choices of men.
God has provided all men with a Way to rid themselves of sin. Sin that causes the pain and suffering that each and every one of us will experience in one way or another. That Way is Jesus. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the answer to every question. He is the solution to every fear. He is where our help comes from. "I lift my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. " - Psalm 121:1-2.
Jesus, who sees all our sadness. Jesus, who feels all our sorrows. Jesus, who changes all our weaknesses into strengths. Jesus, who holds the weight of all of our failings. Our sin is great, but the power of the cross is greater!
So, if you are in darkness, if you are lost, if you are hurting, if you are searching for a stable foundation to stand on, if you are walking around in confusion with questions that are not getting answered. Give Jesus a try. Yes, I know the answer to every question....Jesus!
